Méribel THE NEIGHBOURHOODS OF MERIBEL

The traditional Savoyard hamlet!

Méribel-Village

1 400 – 2 950 m

Méribel-Village is the latest jewel of the Méribel valley. This is the original Mirare bellum which means in Latin “the point from which the view is beautiful” and in time gave the name Méribel. Until the 90’s, the site only had a few scattered sheepfolds. It has now become the setting for an enchanting hamlet in the purest Savoyard tradition, with its refurbished chalets and barns, its chapel, its bread oven, its shops and its terraces.

Organised around its very pleasant and sunny central square, Méribel-Village is served by the fast Golf chairlift which gives access to the whole of the Méribel and 3 Vallées ski area. When the day is over, you can ski back to the heart of the village on the blue Lapin run. In the evening, the free shuttle bus will take you in a few minutes to Méribel-Centre.

Méribel-Village is linked to the 3 Vallées by the chairlift

In the centre of the village, the Golf chairlift will take you to the Méribel slopes in the Altiport area with its wide slopes and its fun and beginner ski areas.

More experienced skiers and boarders have direct access to the slopes of Méribel and the 3 Vallées. You can ride back to the centre of the village on the blue Lapin piste. The snow on the slope is guaranteed throughout the season thanks to the snow cannons.

You will also find sledging areas, pedestrian paths and access to the chairlift for pedestrians.
