Learning to ski is a unique experience. In the beginners’ area, on gentle slopes and wide runs with plenty of room to turn, your children can make their first runs. They will be accompanied by the instructors of our ski schools who know how to create the best conditions to make learning fun and easy.

Are your children still too young to be independent on skis and follow you on the slopes? They can have fun:
- At the “Les Saturnins” day-care centre. It welcomes children from 18 months to 3 years of age to help them discover the snow in a fun way.
- At the children’s garden. Supervised by instructors, children from 3 to 5 years old can discover the basics of skiing.

Activities in the open-air
Who says that a family holiday in the mountains has to be all about skiing? There are a thousand ways to enjoy the invigorating power of the mountains. Why not try:
- Tobogganing after lift closing, followed by a hot chocolate.
- A horseback ride around the magnificent Lake Tueda.
- Building an igloo, the opportunity to discover the nature and animals of the forest.
Exceptional natural sites
Many people fall under the spell of Méribel for the beauty and calm of its protected natural areas. By heading for the Tuéda nature reserve or to the La Traie nature site, you can discover unique natural treasures close to a large ski resort. The ideal settings in which to recharge your batteries, whilst allowing your children to discover the surrounding fauna and flora.
In Méribel, even when the weather is not good, there is always something to do with the family. There are of course the two cinemas, the Mottaret and the Auditorium de Méribel, which regularly offer shows for children, concerts and entertainment. Discover also the Olympic Park, a sports and relaxation complex, which includes: a swimming pool, an ice rink, a spa, a fitness area, a bowling alley, play areas and a climbing wall.
A range of services and activities for families
Animal sculpture, bird feeder, photo rally, snow games, wooden games, ice sculpture, storytelling in the middle of nature… Here are a few examples of activities offered outside at the Tueda nature reserve house (Tuesdays and Thursdays) or at Méribel-Centre near the Family Plus area (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
You can also go in search of the Heart of Méribel this winter by taking part in our Explor Games®. A cross between an escape game and geocaching, you go on an adventure with your family to solve riddles and take up challenges. You will discover the splendid Tuéda nature reserve, its fauna and its unspoilt landscapes.
