PREPARATORY MATCH FOR THE ICE HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
From 19 to 22 April, Méribel is organising a festive and sporting closing weekend which will start at the Olympic Centre ice-rink with a preparatory match for the Ice Hockey World Championships Elite Division between the French and Latvian teams.
From 8 April to 5 May 2019, the French team will take part in a series of training courses in preparation for the World Championships, held from 10 to 26 May in Kosice in Slovakia. In Méribel on 19th April, Philippe Bozon’s players will continue their preparation with a double confrontation against Latvia.
THE OLYMPIC CENTRE, HOME TO ICE HOCKEY SINCE 1992
Méribel’s Olympic Centre ice-rink is no stranger to high level ice hockey competitions: it hosted the Olympic tournament in 1992 and French Cup Finals, Under-20s World Championships last winter and the Under-16s 4 Nations this year, not to mention the regular championship matches of the local team, Hockey Courchevel Méribel Pralognan.
