The tour of the Mountain Festival is making a stop in Méribel! These 5 films show the mountains from the perspective of different disciplines: skiing, climbing, paragliding and mountaineering...a real treat for the eyes. Doors open at 6.30pm. The films are shown in English and French.

As part of a tour of more than 100 European towns, the Mountain Film Festival is visiting the 3 Valleys.

Come and discover the glory of these mountain sports through the 5 films that will be shown on this special evening.

Felicity
Length: 12 minutes

If the mountains could talk, what would they say? Follow ski and snowboard royalty Pierre Hourticq, Victor De Le Rue and Jeremie Heitz as they immerse themselves in the steep lines, and the alpine world of the Mont Blanc Massif. A selection of breathtaking images that help to explain why these athletes seek to constantly push themselves to their limits exploring these beautiful and equally dangerous mountains.

Our favourite Belgians are back on the big screen for a delicious mix of humour, climbing and music! Sean Villanueva and Nicolas Favresse accompany the famous group of alpinists the “Ragni Di Lecco” as they return to Baffin Island for a third expedition. Their objective: first ascents of some virgin big walls. But to reach these incredible walls they first need to traverse frozen fjords on skis or kayaks. Laughter guaranteed as we follow their epic adventure!

Traversing Canada from South to North, across 2300 km of the most rugged terrain in North America and in mid winter.... This is not Mike Horn’s latest stunt, but the adventure of Martina and Tania Halik (who turned 60 during the trip!). 6 months in a tent at - 20 degrees for this mother and daughter team. An unforgettable journey in magical surroundings!

Imagine this: you’re hanging from ice axes on a hold of only a few millimeters, more than 1000 meters above the ground one of the most iconic mountains in the Indian Himalayas. Sébastien Ratel, Léo Billon et Sébastien Moatti from the GMHM (French High Mountain Military Group) invite us to follow the route of three legendary English climbers, on an alpine style ascent. They share some of the most beautiful alpine images ever filmed….. we hope you’re not afraid of heights!
