Come and see Sandrine Rossi's "Chromatic Extravagance". This is an show based on photographs and live performances. Three shows of 20 to 30 minutes each on the ski area on Friday 20 March.
This performance artist takes possession of a chosen space and creates an atmosphere through an installation, a theme, a color, objects, a stage set where humor and derision are very present. Creative and dynamic, Sandrine Rossi refuses to be limited to just one form of art and uses several means and methods such as plastic arts, body painting, working with varied materials, colour, photography and performing arts to create a contemporary, new and unique work.
She chooses bright colours that bring out the natural elements. By using monochrome she frees the spirit from the material world and appeals to the sensations.
Her approach reflects a deep commitment to respect for the environment. She works with found objects to encourage reflection on consumer society and its impact on our planet. Nature becomes for her a tool for creation. She takes care not to modify it.
She leaves the workshop to meet her public face to face. Inviting us to look at that which we don't always see and to question the world around ourselves.
Her aesthetic approach is a manner of addressing the sensibilities of each person. By participating as a performer in her own works she surprises and engages with the spectator in her desire to mix art and life.
Is a self-taught multi-dimensional artist. She is once and at the same time a costume designer, a decorator, a stylist, actress, dancer, stilt walker, producer, directer, sculptress and performer. A lover of nature and sensitive to her environment, she plays with contrasts through her choice of forms, materials and colour.
Born in Grenoble, she grew up and still lives surrounded by mountains.
Her artistic talents and her way of life lend her art a unique dimension. "My extravagance is the answer to the madness of this world!"
